When it rains, it S'mores! #StreamTeam

Being on a limited budget in our household means having to create our own little adventures.  Although we love playing outdoors, we also enjoy our rainy days.  It gives us the time to cuddle up and spend some quality time together.  So. . . what can you do when you're "stuck" inside?  At our house we play dress-up (and no, you're never too old to play dress-up!), some classic board games, we bake, and our fave thing to do is escape in some of Netflix's awesome content while enjoying our famous "Indoor-Smores".  What makes them famous, you might ask?  Well, not much, except for the fact that I make them.  My little one will not have it any other way!

We recently attended a Dragons-themed event in the heart of Toronto's very own Distillery District.  We watched an advanced screening of the first 2 episodes of Netflix DreamWorks' "Dragons: Race To The Edge" series.  It was a day jam-packed with activities and snacks.

We received a "Dragons"-themed kit from our awesome friends over at Netflix, and amongst the goodies were a warm fuzzy blankie, and inflatable sword (for all of our dragon slaying!), awesome masquerade masks, sidewalk chalk, and delicious Dragon Scales, and Dragon Claws.

So what have Toothless and Hiccup been up to?  This summer, our favourite characters from the critically acclaimed How to Train Your Dragon films are embarking on unparalleled adventures in the all-new Netflix original series Dragons: Race to the Edge - and inviting you along for the dragon ride.  Soaring beyond their home on the island of Berk in search of new dragons, Dragons: Race to the Edge introduces some of the most exciting dragons yet, each with its own amazing abilities -- shock waves, cannon balls and fire blasts, just to name a few.  With the magical Dragon Eye, an artifact Hiccup finds aboard an abandoned ship, Hiccup learns there is more outside the confines of Berk, and that a little curiosity and determination can make every day an exciting journey. In Hiccup’s own words, “this changes everything.”

So, how do you create adventures when you're "stuck" inside?
Do you have any famous snacks that only you can make?
